The First World War: briefly about the main
In 1914, in the world and, above all, in theEuropean continent flared up World War I. Briefly and at the same time, it is very difficult to describe it fully, because neither the Europe nor the rest of the planet knew such a conflict in the history of its existence. This war brought to the world unique innovations of completely different character: the first tanks, the use of chemical gases, the trench warfare tactics, the slaughter for large-scale redistribution of territories around the world, and finally the unprecedented number of parties that took part in it.
The First World War: briefly about the prerequisites

In contrast to their maximum development reached Germany, barely completed the industrial revolution, but did not have time to the table of the division of colonial possessions. There was a discrepancy between the potential and the real role of Germany, in which, for several decades before the war, aggressive pan-Germanic sentiments were growing. Its natural allies were opponents of England and France, and, secondly, Russia. For example, Austria-Hungary and Turkey had their own interest in the Balkans, where during this period it was activeaffirmed Russia. The First World War, in short, was an inevitable consequence of growing contradictions. Thus, the conflict was inevitable sooner or later.

The dualistic monarchy put forward a very tough ultimatum to Serbia, with which the government of the Balkan country almost completely agreed, except for the point on the participation of Austrian delegates in the internal Serbian investigation and the search for perpetrators - this already affected the sovereignty of the Serb side. Gradually the war took an exhausting trench character, where neither side of the Western Front (the French-Germans) could gain an advantage. The latter had to fight at all on two fronts, dispersing their forces in the east in the struggle against the armies of the Romanovs. The forces of the Habsburg Empire quickly demonstrated their archaic in both technical and administrative and moral terms. In March 1918, the US troops came to the Western Front to help the French, after which the German forces gradually began to withdraw from the territory of their neighbor. In early October, the situation for the Hohenzollerns (German rulers) became so complicated that Wilhelm II was forced to admit that he was defeated on November 11, when he walked in 1918.
