As it became known, the Russian delegation at the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland will be headed by the head of the Kremlin administration, Sergey Ivanov.
Memorial events should take place on January 27th. In total, they were invited to 39 representatives of various countries. 300 ex-prisoners from the Nazi camp are also expected to attend. As the director of the Auschwitz memorial Pyotr Tsivinsky stressed, this anniversary is the last one that can be celebrated with a large group of those who survived in a concentration camp. As expected, the main events will be held at the gate of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.
It should be added that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Grzegorz Schetyna, today announced that Auschwitz was released, first of all, by Ukrainian soldiers, meaning the fighters of the 1st Ukrainian Front.
