How to cook meatballs with gravy in a pan and in the oven

Childhood leaves a lot of culinary memories. Sometimes so much I want to enjoy the taste of dishes that we were regularly treated to moms or chefs working in kindergartens and schools. That's why I decided to cook meatballs with gravy at home.

For cooking use different types of minced meat. In the article I will tell a recipe from childhood, along with several other variants of this edible product.

Meatballs - an independent dish that does not need a side dish. However, it is usually served with vegetables or rice. A dish is impossible to imagine without gravy, which adds fantastic juiciness.

The recipe is like in kindergarten

Ingredients:
  • Minced meat - 500 g
  • Rice groats - 0.5 cup.
  • Onion - 1 medium head.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Salt.
For the sauce:
  • Flour - 1 tbsp. l
  • Sour cream - 1 tbsp. l
  • Tomato paste - 1 tsp.
  • Voditsa - 1.5 cups.
  • Salt.
How to cook:
  1. Boil the rice cereal until half cooked.Peel and chop the onion, add to the mince, salt and knead carefully until a homogeneous mass. Egg and rice are added to the mince, and meatballs are formed after mixing.
  2. Roll the balls into the flour and fry on all sides in the oil. It usually takes about a quarter of an hour. To preserve the original structure, turn as carefully as possible.
  3. After roasting, put in a small saucepan, add water so that it covers half of them, salt and simmer until ready.
  4. In a separate pan, fry the flour, add tomato paste and sour cream, pour in water and mix. The resulting sauce pour meatballs and put out about ten minutes. That's all.

Meatballs recommend serving to the table along with steamed vegetables. However, any garnish, for example, pancakes, tasty macaroni or juliens approaches them.

Chicken minced meatballs with rice

According to the technology of preparation and the list of products used, meatballs resemble meatballs with the addition of boiled rice.

Ingredients:
  • Minced chicken - 800 g
  • Rice groats - 1 cup.
  • Onion - 2 heads.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Apple - 1 pc.
  • Pepper, salt.
For gravy:
  • Broth - 1 liter.
  • Carrot - 2 pcs.
  • Onion - 2 pcs.
  • Fresh cream - 200 ml.
  • Flour - 1 tbsp. l
  • Tomato paste - 3 tbsp. l
Cooking:
  1. Combine boiled rice, beaten egg, grated apple, minced meat and chopped onion. Salt the resulting mass, lightly sprinkle with flour and mix thoroughly. Start forming meatballs. In order not to fall apart, roll in flour.
  2. Gravy. Put the chopped onion into the pan with the heated oil and lightly fry. Pour the grated carrot and then two or three minutes.
  3. Pour the flour in the pan, pour the cream along with the tomato paste and mix. At the end of the sauce pour a little water. After boiling, adjust the taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Formed meatballs put in the pot, pour the gravy and put the stew on the minimum fire. In about half an hour they will be ready.

How to cook meatballs in the oven

Minced meat is a universal semi-finished product from which various treats are prepared: meatballs, meat and fish patties, meatballs. It is used as a filling for pancakes, pies, pasties.

Every culinary specialist knows that oven-baked dishes are more useful, because this technology requires less oil and saves healthy substances.

Ingredients:
  • Minced beef - 1 kg.
  • Rice groats - 300 g
  • Carrot - 1 pc.
  • Luchok - 1 head.
  • Eggs - 3 pcs.
  • Garlic - 2 slices.
  • Pepper, spices, salt.
For gravy:
  • Water - 2 cups.
  • Carrot - 1 pc.
  • Luchok - 1 head.
  • Tomato paste - 2 tbsp. l
  • Flour - 2 tbsp. l
  • Garlic - 1 lobule.
  • Salt, spices, sugar.
Cooking:
  1. Boil rice. Fry the shredded half-rings of onion with grated carrot. Add eggs to mince, mix, add fried vegetables with rice, grated garlic, favorite spices and a pinch of salt. Mix.
  2. Make meatballs from the resulting mixture, bathe in flour and lay out in dense rows on a pre-lubricated form. To prevent mass from sticking to hands, periodically wet them in clean water.
  3. Turn gravy. Chopped onion with grated carrots to fry in a griddle. Introduce flour, otherwise refueling will turn out watery. Pour water into the pan simultaneously with the tomato paste. Mix everything diligently, and after a couple of minutes, add some sugar, favorite spices and salt.
  4. The resulting gravy pour meat balls. The sauce should be almost to the top of their cover. Put the mold in a heated oven and cook for about an hour at 200 degrees.

After an hour, take it out, wait a little until it cools down, put it on a plate, decorate with greens and put on the table with vegetables or salad.

Want to cook something new for lunch or dinner? Pay attention to the meatballs with gravy - a complete dish of rice, fresh meat and vegetables. Optionally, you can garnish buckwheat cereal, pasta or vegetable salad.

Ingredients:
  • Stuffing - 400 g
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Cottage cheese - 100 g
  • Onion - 3 heads.
  • Baton - 3 pieces.
  • Garlic - 4 slices.
  • Tomatoes - 3 pcs.
  • Carrot - 1 pc.
  • Sweet pepper - 2 pcs.
  • Milk - 2 tbsp. l
  • Tomato paste - 4 tbsp. l
  • Broth - 300 ml.
  • Greens - 100 g
  • Mustard - 1 tsp.
  • Starch - 1 tbsp. l
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp. l
  • Salt, spices.
Cooking:
  1. Chop one onion and a couple of cloves of garlic and soak the pieces of loaf in water. Ingredients send in stuffing and mix. Baton pre-press.
  2. Beat in an egg, add cottage cheese, half of chopped greens, milk. After the next mixing, correct the taste with salt and spices. Rosemary, cilantro and pepper are great.
  3. From the meat composition to form lumps or balls of moderate size. Each bathe in flour and fry until golden.
  4. Sauce. Recipe for vegetables, finely chop and fry.First send the onions and carrots to the pan, a little later the tomatoes and peppers and then two minutes. Add sugar, tomato paste and a little salt. Hold on fire for another 3 minutes.
  5. Spoon the starch with water and send to the vegetables along with the broth, the remaining herbs and garlic. Cover and extinguish for 10 minutes at minimum heat.
  6. During the final stage, gently lower the meatballs. Extinguish under the lid for at least a quarter of an hour. That's all.

Cooked meatballs with gravy turn out incredibly appetizing.

Ingredients:
  • Stuffing - 500 g
  • Rice groats - 0.5 cup.
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Pepper, salt.
For gravy:
  • Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
  • Flour - 2 tbsp. l
  • Sour cream - 50 ml.
  • Salt.
Cooking:
  1. Chop the cleaned onion thoroughly, sort out the rice thoroughly and rinse with water. Ingredients add to the meat mass with the egg and mix. From the mixture, with the corrected salt and pepper taste, make neat balls.
  2. Tomatoes dipped in boiling water, remove the skin and knead in a smooth mashed potatoes. In 0.25 liters of water dilute the flour, enter the sour cream and tomato gruel. The result is a sauce.
  3. In the capacity of the multicooker put the meatballs and pour with gravy. Turn on the device, activate the extinguishing mode and set the timer for an hour. When the program is completed, the dish is ready.
