How not to slip?

In winter, when the streets are littered with snow, very often people are faced with the problem of slippery shoes. And then everyone thinks about how to make shoes do not slip.

Before turning to methods of dealing with slipping shoes, it is necessary to figure out how to choose the right winter shoes:

  • Choose shoes with rubber soles, as they are less prone to slip;
  • The pattern on the sole should contain a large number of projections;
  • The sole should bend well, which will give ease to your walk in winter.

There are several ways to combat slipping shoes. Consider the most common ones.

Heat the sand in the oven at the maximum temperature for about an hour. Then we take out a baking tray with sand and quickly put our shoes on it. Hold for a few minutes until the sand adheres to the sole.

Glue and sand

Carefully coat the sole with glue and immediately sprinkle glue abundantly with sand. It will be possible to go outside only after the glue has completely dried.Repeat this procedure after the sand has worn off the sole. It should be noted that resin-based glue is best suited for this task, since it will not dissolve in snow and water.

Take the emery paper, cut it into several small pieces and glue it on the sole. Glue we select insoluble in water.

In order to get rid of the slipping of the sole, put a fabric-based plaster on the surface of the sole. In this case, you will do without glue. It is necessary to glue it crosswise. The only drawback of this method is fragility: the patch will last only 1-2 days.

To date, a popular means of dealing with the slipping of winter shoes are ice-shoes. They represent a metal sole with spikes, which is fixed on the shoe with the help of rubber stretch. They save from slipping, but at the same time they knock hard on tiles, asphalt and other surfaces. These devices are sold in shoe stores.

Contact your shoe repair shop for help, where you will be coated with polyurethane protection on the sole, which will prevent your sole from slipping. This protection lasts for one season.

Rub the soles with half of the potatoes and let the starch dry. In this case, going outside should avoid ice surfaces. Remember, this method gives a short-term effect and the next day you will have to repeat this procedure.

Using a stapler for hauling furniture, we make thorns on your sole. To do this, fill the staples 7-8 mm on the sole from the outside in a chaotic manner. It should be noted that this method is applicable to winter shoes with thick soles.

Choose the right option for you, and you can safely walk along slippery snow-covered streets and do not slip.
