I have two children, a daughter and a son. Daughter has already graduated from school and study at the institute. And the son in the fifth grade. I did the class up to 3 with my daughter. Then she did everything herself and graduated from school with good grades. And I only checked her lessons and everything, if anything was unclear, then I suggested. But with the son of this kind of trouble, firstly, we are constantly fighting with him because of the computer and homework. We sit until 2-3 nights until we do all the tasks. This is of course my quiet horror! :( I noticed that we are not alone among almost all of the class, so it is suffering. Whether teachers explain poorly, whether the generation is growing like that! :(
Look for the answer in your question - "we are constantly fighting with the computer." The son is fascinated by the computer. everything else - he interferes and distracts him. Because initially not to books teach, and save from the passion for games or spending time at the computer. After all, many people read e-books at the computer - they like it.And also - “constantly fighting” - says that you and your son didn’t come to a concrete decision about the time spent at the computer, and the fault here is not his, but yours! You do not have enough determination to start to gain credibility as a PARENT before your son, there should be no war! The child should KNOW your requirements and fulfill them without insults and emissions in your direction. Read the VERY GOOD James Dobrazon's book "DO NOT BE AFRAID TO BE STRICT" - get answers not only to these questions. And do not be afraid of the fact that the author is a Christian! Believe me, he writes REAL things that apply to all parents, even Buddhists, even to atheists. His book will not drag you into religion, but to turn to the restoration of YOUR parental authority, without which you can’t instill the importance and interest in books, this book will help a lot. Verified by experience. And do not expect quick results - love for books does not appear suddenly at first sight, it is absorbed through the example of relatives and their wise instructions (which children do not accept from people who are not respected and whose opinions are accordingly allowed to be challenged). Then you will sleep at night, and not painfully do your homework.

Just read the book FROM AND TO, and then one paragraph will frighten you, and you will never see the actual point of view of the author on the issue of raising children. He is an American - but not one of those types whom he hates the sex of our country. He is a patriot of his homeland, but does not insult any of the foreigners. And he seeks to improve the quality of education in principle all over the world, starting, of course, by standing up for his children in his country. And if you are not a hypocrite, then there is an opportunity to understand what motivates children AT ALL, regardless of race and age, and then make the right decision - should they be helped to do their homework and whether it is worth fighting for compan1

And he seeks to improve the quality of education in principle throughout the world, advocating, of course, primarily for the children of his country.

And together with the restoration of his authority, set the mode of the day - the son must go to sleep at a certain time, even if he didn’t do his homework (of course, we don’t bring senility to it, there are exceptions)

When doing your homework, ask what exactly he or she specifically does not understand, do not do everything for him

It seems to me that now children should be given such huge amounts of information that it is necessary to deal with it in addition with something like memory development, for younger schoolchildren it is difficult to remember so much at once ...
Yes, it’s very difficult to concentrate, not like first-graders, even third-graders. lose concentration. I don't even know how to teach to be attentive.

What can I say to this - I can advise courses in the development of memory and thinking, unium.ru has similar ones. They train their intellect well, the child will be able to memorize more, and logic will work better.
